Made my draft much better

I got the annual Premium plan last month and it's been a game changer! The Style Editor caught so many awkward sentences in my manuscript, and the Pacing Report was super helpful for making sure the story flowed. I even tried the Dialogue Tags Check, which I didn't think I needed, but it really cleaned things up. Definitely going to renew next year and telling my writing group about it!

Smooth purchase, quick setup

I decided to finally get the Lifetime License after using the free trial for a bit. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, just a few clicks. I got the confirmation email almost instantly, and setting up the Desktop App and Browser Extension was pretty easy. I mostly use it for the Grammar Checker and the Contextual Thesaurus. The real-time suggestions in the browser are really convenient for quick emails and social media posts. I did have a small question about the Scrivener Integration, and their support got back to me within a few hours, which was nice. Overall, a very positive experience from start to finish.

Always reliable, great tool

I've used ProWritingAid for a few years now, mostly for the Desktop App and the Google Docs Add-on. My recent renewal for Premium went smoothly, just like previous times. The service has been consistently good; it's a solid tool that helps catch a lot of my usual writing errors without being too intrusive. Good to know I can count on it.

wondering how ProWritingAid stacks up against Grammarly? mostly looking for style stuff, not just basic grammar.

M Mark E. 2 months ago
For style, PWA is way more in-depth than Grammarly, especially with all its reports like sticky sentences and pacing. Grammarly is good for quick checks but PWA really digs in.

Can I use this on my work laptop and my home desktop at the same time? Like, does it limit how many devices?

D Dana Osei 2 months ago
Yup, I use it on my laptop and my desktop without issues. I don't think there's a strict device limit for personal use.

It's not like locked to one device, you can install the extensions/apps on multiple machines. I have it on three different computers myself.

Does anyone know if the plagiarism checker comes with the regular premium plan or is that extra?

M Mia Patel 2 months ago
Nah, the plagiarism checker is usually a separate thing, or only comes with the Premium Plus. I remember checking that when I signed up.

You gotta get Premium Plus for the plagiarism checks. Pretty sure it's not in the basic Premium.

Thinking of getting the lifetime plan, do they ever have good sales on that or should I just go for it now?

G Greg S. 2 months ago
Yeah, they definitely do. I snagged mine during Black Friday last year for like half price. Worth waiting for if you can.

They have sales pretty regularly for the lifetime one, usually around holidays. I think I saw a 40% off coupon floating around a few months back too, check coupon sites maybe?

If I get the annual plan now, can I upgrade to lifetime later and just pay the difference?

R Renee A. 2 months ago
I think so, yeah. I upgraded from annual to lifetime a while ago and they just credited what I'd already paid. Worth checking their support to be sure though.

C Colin Torres 2 months ago
Pretty sure they let you do that. I saw someone mention it on Reddit that they just subtract what you paid for annual from the lifetime cost. Makes sense.
